HAPPYHALERS

A breath of fresh imagination for today’s asthma treatment

Over 500,000 kids end up in hospital emergency rooms every year because of asthma. The thing is—rescue inhalers can literally prevent attacks from becoming life-threatening. But kids aren't using them like they should because (and this is the gut-punch) they're embarrassed. Too self-conscious to pull out an inhaler in front of their friends. So instead of a quick puff in the hallway... they're in the emergency room. But the HappyHalers changed all that.

DESIGNED BY KIDS. LOVED BY PARENTS.

We co-created the designs directly with kids. (Because who better to tell us what's cool than the actual humans using these things?) And the result? Perfectly playful covers that kids actually WANTED to use.

The 3D-printable files were free to download. But we knew not every kid has access to a 3D printer, so we partnered with Stache3D to print the covers at cost using FDA-approved, non-toxic materials. We also built the HappyHalers to work with inhalers spacers, so little lungs could still get the benefit.
